A graduation dinner ticket means the celebrations start early, starting off with a glamorous champagne reception on the lawns of Heslington Hall.
A free bus service then whisks you away to the York Racecourse where early access to the funfair rides and a delicious three course meal awaits!

How do I get there?
Transport is included in your ticket price. Coaches will be leaving campus at 16.15 for graduation dinner guests from outside The Student Centre in James College and from 20.00 for Summer Ball guests.
What time should I arrive?
The Summer Ball starts at 20.30 and will finish at 04.00. Graduation dinner will commence with a champagne reception at Heslington Hall from 15.30.
Is there a dress code?
The Summer Ball is a black tie event, so get your glad rags on!
What do I need to bring?
You will need to present a form of ID and your printed event ticket at the entrance.
Will there be a cloakroom?
Yes there will be a cloakroom on the ground floor where you can leave your coat whilst you enjoy your evening.
Is there a cash machine?
Yes there is a cash machine in the venue but be careful, it will charge you for withdrawing cash so we suggest you bring some cash with you for purchasing food and drink.
Can a friend not from this University attend?
Yes students can bring non-students or a student from other Universities but you will need to buy them a seperate ticket.
Can I attend as a post-grad/mature/part-time/first-time student?
Yes, the Ball is open to all students.
Do you make provisions for Wheelchair users?
Yes, the Summer Ball is totally accessible for wheelchair users.
Do I need to bring my Student card for verification?
Bringing a student card is not essential but please do remember you will require a form of ID to present on entry.
What happens to Lost Property?
Any lost property will be handed in at the clock tower (event entrance) and will be available from the following day. Lost property is only held for 14 days so please make sure you come and collect your items before you leave for the summer.
